Back on the west coast of the United States was more rapid than we might have been imagined. This time, the direction of the north-west: the state of Washington and Oregon.
Krótki pobyt w USA rozpoczął się przylotem do Seattle. Popołudnie zostało wykorzystane na ekspresowe zwiedzanie tego największego miasta stanu Waszyngton. Jako, iż pogoda nie sprzyjała spacerom, całe zwiedzanie zostało ograniczone do podziwiania uroków miasta z okna samochodu. Na szczęście, padać zaczęło dopiero wieczorem, co w Seattle trzeba uznać za naprawdę dobrą pogodę!

A short stay in the United States began to arrival to Seattle. The afternoon was used to explore the largest city state of Washington. The weather was not conducive to walking, so the whole tour was limited to admire the beautiful city from the window of the car. Fortunately, the rain began in the evening, which in Seattle must be considered as a really good weather!
Na pierwszy rzut oka można stwierdzić, iż Seattle jest bardzo zakorkowanym miastem. Widać to było już w trakcie dojazdu z lotniska do centrum. Ma to jednak swoje plusy: stojąc w korku można przynajmniej spokojnie pooglądać industrialną okolicę i dokumentować całe otoczenie.

At first glance, you can say that Seattle is a very congested city. This was evident already during the transport from the airport to the city center. But it has its advantages: standing in a traffic jam, you can at least quietly watch the industrial surroundings and document the whole city.

Pierwszym ważnym punktem na trasie był Kerry Park. Nazwa 'Park' jest tutaj nieco na wyrost. Bardziej trafne określenie to "taras widokowy". Kerry Park składa się bowiem z kawałka chodnika i kilku ławek. Niemniej jednak, rozciąga się stąd piękny widok na całą panoramę Seattle. Wiatr znad oceanu był jednak na tyle silny i mroźny, że nie pozwalał na dłuższy postój ... Być może dlatego, nie było żadnych problemów z parkowaniem. W drodze do Kerry Park minęliśmy Pioneers Square - jedną z najstarszych i najbardziej znanych dzielnic Seattle.

The first important point on the route was Kerry Park. The name 'Park' is here somewhat exaggerated. A more accurate term is "observation deck." Kerry Park consists in fact of a piece of sidewalk and a few benches. Nevertheless, from there extends a beautiful view of the entire panorama of Seattle. Unforunately, wind from the ocean was so strong and frosty, that did not allow for a longer layover ... Maybe because of that, there were no parking problems. On the way we passed the Kerry Park Pioneers Square - one of the oldest and most famous neighborhoods of Seattle.

Po Kerry Park przyszedł czas, aby udać się dalej na południe, nad oceaniczne wybrzeże. Najważniejszymi punktami, które trzeba odwiedzić są Pike Place Market - niezwykle popularny wśród miejscowych targ, najstarszy, pierwszy na świecie Starbucks oraz The Seattle Great Wheel.

After Kerry Park there was a time to go south, heading to a wharf. The must have points to visits are Pike Place Market - extremely popular with the locals market, the oldest Starbucks in the world and The Seattle Great Wheel.
